At the beginning of our Ancient Greek topic, it was important the children understood what is meant by the term 'Civilisation'. We discussed how we knew a civilisation had been created. We then moved on to discuss what the most important part of a civilisation was. The children had a variety of cards with concepts and inventions on. The working together, they discussed which they thought was the most important.
