This morning Rev Jane Dixon from Lower Wyke Moravian Church came to school to carry out our Easter Assembly. She told us the story of Easter and then presented the awards for the best Easter Bonnets and Class Egg Displays. There were so many amazing Easter Bonnets to choose from and she found it particularly hard to choose winners. The winners all received Easter Eggs. Year 4 won the Class Egg Display and they all received eggs for their 'eggcellent' - Mount Egglympus and the Eggreeks!
Today at SMPA we held a Future Me Day. The day started off with a visit from the Lord Mayor of Bradford who was accompanied by our very own 'Mini Me'. We also had a talk from Imran Hafeez from The Literacy Trust. Children then had to guess our visitors occupations from clues given before finding out more about their particular jobs. This afternoon children were then asked to complete a short quiz which matched their likes/dislikes with future careers. We had a variety of occupations like:- Jockey, GP, Farrier, Diplomat to name but a few. Check out the pictures below to see how much fun we had.
We have had a fantastic day today celebrating World Book Day. The children and staff all tried hard to dress up as their favourite characters. Activities have happened throughout school with children moving between classes and working with different members of staff. There was an assembly this morning and at break and lunch time, children were challenged to find 'Wally'.
Following Local Authority advice and Amber weather warnings issued by the Met Office, school will remain closed tomorrow (2/3/18)
