Mrs Cooper and The SMARTS TEAM

Good Afternoon everyone.

The SMARTS Group had a fantastic planning meeting yesterday for our Summer Fair and we would like to thank all who attended for their contributions. We are hoping to make the fair bigger and better and hope that by being held on a Saturday it will encourage extended family members to come and join in the fun. This year the Summer Fair will be held on Saturday 23rd June 2018 from 11am until 2pm.

We are looking for willing volunteers to help on the day of the fair. It may be lifting tables and chairs out, setting up games, helping with the food, washing up, manning a stall, every little bit of help makes a difference whether it is 1 hour or 3 hours it would be greatly appreciated. Please speak to Mrs Cooper or The School Office.

If anyone is interested in having their own stall, please speak to Mrs Cooper 01274 679320 or ask to speak to her at the school office. The stalls at £12 which is a £2 deposit on booking and £10 paid on the day.

We will also be starting to collect tombola items after the Easter holiday so if anyone has items they can donate please send them into school after the Easter holiday.

Many thanks for your continued support.

SMARTS 2017/2018

A warm welcome to all new and existing Parents, Carers and Relatives that support our children at Shirley Manor.  We are excitedly looking forward to working in partnership with you over the next academic year.

Please remember that as your child/children become a members of our school you also automatically become members of SMARTS - Shirley Manor And Relatives That Support.

We have a small number of parents that regularly attend meetings to organise events that we have going on in school.  It is always lovely to see new faces the more the merrier.  These events help to raise money to provide little extra's to support our children's experience and time at Shirley Manor.

We meet every half term for a chat and to plan upcoming events.  I will let parents know the date and time of our meeting via text and notices on the school doors.

Our next meeting will be Tuesday 13th march 2018 at 9am in the Dining Hall.

Looking forward to weeing you all soon - Mrs Cooper smiley

Welcome to SMARTS.

S.M.A.R.T.S stands for Shirley Manor And Relatives That Support.

SMARTS is a group of parents, grand-parents, auntie's, uncle's and carer's.

We get together at least once every 1/2 term to discuss fundraising/social events within school.  The meetings are very informal and we always enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit!!!

If you are unable to attend meetings but you are interested in supporting SMARTS in other ways for example.....baking, making, helping at events please let Mrs Cooper have your details.  Every little bit of help is always greatly appreciated smiley
