School Clubs

Arts and Crafts Club

Each week children create their own pieces of work which use a range of different skills and techniques. They will explore using a wide range of materials to create some fantastic works of art and different craft activities. Get ready to get creative!

Performing Arts

Our performing arts club is a fantastic group led by our professional drama and dance teacher. Children learn a range of songs, dances & acting that they get the opportunity to perform publicly throughout the year. Be sure not to miss out on their wonderful public performances.

Football

Throughout the year, in preparation for inter-school competitions through the Braford School Games partnership, children have the opportunity to join in with our football coaching sessions. During the session, children focus on improving their football as well as their teamwork and leadership skills.

Rounders

Children in Key Stage 2 have a weekly rounders club which runs during the summer term. It is a great opportunity to take part in a team game and have a lot of fun. We will be holding a parents vs pupils rounders competition towards the end of the year for those who attend the club. It is bound to be a lot of fun!

Kwik Cricket

During Summer Term, children have the opportunity to attend Kwik Cricket Club to develop their teamwork, sportsmanship and cricketing skills. This is a brilliant opportunity for children to have fun and join in with a brilliant sport no matter their ability or previous experience.

Athletics

Athletics club aims at developing a range of skills which can be applied to track and field events, as well as a range of other sports and activities. Children who attend the club will have the opportunity to put their skills into action, not only on our annual sports day, but also during the many Bradford School Games events which run throughout the year, including: cross country, track and field meetings, indoor athletics tournaments and many more.

Gaming Club

Children in upper key stage 2 have the opportunity to take part in a range of board games which tests their mental agility and strategic thinking. The games played each week range from traditional games, such as chess, to more recent inventions, such as Ticket to Ride.

Performance Choir

Our very popular choir is run each week by our specialist drama teacher, with a background in musical theatre. The children work towards different projects throughout the year and get to take part in public performances, such as the wonderful Family of Learning Trust Concert, which was held at Halifax Minster.

Phoincs Party

Each week in Spring Term, children in Key Stage 1 are invited to join in with an after-school phonics party. They play games, have fun and importantly get to improve their reading and phonics knowledge.

Paddington’s Picnic Book Club

During the Summer term, children in Key Stage 1 are invited to join our Paddington’s Picnic Book Club, where they share stories, play games and join in with a range of activities which aim to develop their love of reading.

Enrichment

We are very proud of our enrichment offer, which runs between 1:10pm and 3pm on a Friday afternoon. Each week, children may attend two different clubs of their choosing, which enable them to build of their interests and learn new skills. Some of the enrichment activities we offer throughout the year include: forest school sessions with our dedicated forest school practitioner; arts and crafts club; Lego design and build club; film club (watching, analysing and making); homework club; mindfulness and wellbeing; and a reading café.
