The aim of the mathematics curriculum at Shirley Manor Primary Academy is to provide an ambitious, connected curriculum which promotes Independent Learning, Aspirations, and Fresh Experiences.
The curriculum is adapted to be accessible to all pupils in school from EYFS through to the end of Year 6, as we strive for all pupils to become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics; be able to give reasons and calculate efficiently; and to solve problems effectively.
Although derived from the White Rose Maths Hub Scheme, the Mathematics curriculum at Shirley Manor has been adapted and enhanced so that meet the needs of our cohorts and provides children with an understanding of how Mathematics is used within the wider world.
