At the latest Governing Board meeting a new Co-opted Governor, Jean Hayles, was voted onto the Board.
Staff recruitment is taking place and the Headteacher explained the process to ensure all is in place for September.
The success of the Future Me day when the Lord Mayor attended was discussed by Governors. This included that the day was a very positive one for the pupils of the school.
A bid for funding for work on the outside area of the school has been successful and the plans which include a running track and Astroturf and new fencing for the playgrounds were presented.
The work of 3 teaching assistants on the MITA project, which involved visiting schools in London to see the project in action, was explained to Governors. This is having a positive impact on the pupils and the teaching assistants.
The positive nature of the responses received to the Parental Questionnaire were noted to Governors and this has raised morale in school.
Governors also approved the School Budget for 2018-19. The challenging nature of the financial situation for schools and academies was discussed in detail.
