The children were using hammers to extract the chlorophyll from the leaves to make a print pattern on material.
Some of the children built a shelter and encouraged each other to play in their tent.  Some deep discussions involving their constructions were had!!
While in the forest, one of the children spotted a red bug.  We had no idea, so we called in the expert! Tom identified it as a red headed cardinal beetle.  This then spurred the children on to find out what other bugs lived in our forest.  As you can see from the pictures, some children were more enthusiastic about the bugs falling onto the blanket than others!
